Cleanliness of rooms, and entire facilities. Decent complimentary breakfast- Fresh great tasting waffles which you make on your own, Jimmy dean sandwiches, yogurt, fruit cups, bagles, english muffins, boiled eggs and cereals. Coffee and a variety of teas. Friendly, courteous and very helpful staff (not always easy to find in some ny hotels). Access to the Roof top with seating area, music and a fabulous view of Manhattan - Close to Atlantic Mall.
Rooms and bathrooms are small- I had a king size with just about 20" between the bottom of the bed and the desk. Movable closet which is place on the right side of the room, not practical to use, since the only available area to place my suitcase was right where the cupboard doors opened, and right next to that is the large A/c unit which sits just a few inches above the floor, on the right side of the bed. Each side of the bed has max 3 ft between the walls/window. Thank god I didn't have anyone sharing the room with me - it really would have been uncomfortable to move around in the room itself and the bathroom. Even for one person its uncomfortable. I got a non-refundable rate of $252. Was told the going rate was $429 the day before I left- I would not return with a rate of over $252. I get much better rates at the Marriott on Brooklyn Bridge which is far superior, just couldn't get a room there this time. Location didn't look ideal for venturing out on your own.
The complimentary breakfast was agreat. Also the room was very clean and comfortable and a short walk to the subway.
location in Brooklyn compared to $$ costs in Manhattan
Location was decent, Price was good
No Fridge in the room, No Swimming Pool, No resteraunts close by
Spotless, ultra modern layout, hip, friendly, comfortable and convenient in every respect. Spectacular roof top terraces for evening relaxation and full circumference views of New York City, Brooklyn and the New York Harbor
A little pricey when you add in the $25 for parking
Room was very clean, and bed was comfortable - hotel only opened within the last year (July 2011). We loved the self-serve dining area for breakfast - there was a excellent selection of foods - fresh fruit, waffles, bagels, muffins, packaged cereals, juices, etc. Within easy walking distance to Atlantic Avenue / Fulton Street Mall, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens / Brooklyn Museum / Prospect Park.
The staff were great, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. The hotel was fairly quiet and clean. There are nice restaurants within walking distance.
I was initially a little nervous about the location of the hotel. This is a transitional neighborhood. I found it was safe to walk at night (with company) It is only a few minutes walk from the subway station
Perfect for a weekend when you need a nice hotel in brooklyn. Rooftop was clean, open 24 hrs with a nice view of the city!
New, clean, good service.
Small rooms, noise levels are high, location is smack in a middle of projects, double rooms have small twin beds, not queens like most other hotels. Breakfast ends at 9 am, seriously? We came down at 9:02 an it was gone. $25 parking fee was a rip off.
The staff were pleasant to deal with, the breakfast had a good variety and our room was comfortable and clean.
The location is a little bit disconcerting, we walked around at night but for less seasoned travellers I could see it being a turn off.
nothing ,, may not be 5 stars but it is five stars
Liked the on-site parking, close proximity to a subway stop. The staff was excellent. A very clean and updated facility. I highly recommend and may stay here again next month.
The bed was super comfortable. We had many nights of excellent sleep while visiting our son who lives in Brooklyn. Great view of Brooklyn from our window.
Towels were a bit flimsy and scratchy. Thicker, softer towels would have been great!!!!
The staff were pleasant to deal with and helpful. The breakfast had a good variety and the room was clean.
Poor location. 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station - Atlantic Pacific and supermarket. A little bit disconcerting walking around at night. Very noisy at night from the road outside. No restaurant in the hotel. No proper kettle in the room. Over priced for a business hotel in Brooklyn.
overall pleasant atmosphere, roof terrace with nice view, complimentary hot beverages throughout the day, well equiped rooms
breakfast only till 9 am
